The F66 is the three-door petrol MINI from 2024. Against the F56 the underlying structure stayed, but everything visible was redrawn: smoother surfaces, narrower lamps, and inside, the round OLED display that replaces the traditional dials outright. It is still built at Oxford.
It is also the most confusing case in the MINI range. Beside it sits the J01, which looks almost the same, runs on electricity, uses a completely different platform and is built in China.
For parts that is the fact that matters: what looks like one car is two. Underbody, front structure, cooling and much of the electrical system are not shared, and which of the two a part came off should be settled before buying.
The five-door of this generation is the F65, which shares the entire front end with the F66 but has a longer wheelbase and doors of its own. This generation now mostly yields bumpers, doors and front wings.
