The F70 is the fourth-generation 1 Series and arrived in 2024. It builds on the F40's front-drive architecture without being a facelift of it: body, lighting and interior were all redrawn. You can pick it out by the vertical daytime-running elements and the smoother tail.
It is sold as the 120 with a mild-hybrid four, as a diesel, and as the M135 xDrive with a two-litre turbo and four-wheel drive. Inside, the curved twin display replaces the old dashboard entirely and physical switches have gone bar a small row. Nothing from an F40 fits the cockpit as a result.
There is far more hardware in the nose now than there used to be: parking sensors, radar for adaptive cruise, a camera, heated sections in places. What was specified determines the bumper's apertures and brackets, and the sensors need calibrating once it is on.
Which also explains the damage pattern. From this young model almost everything that reaches us is front-end — over half our F70 stock is bumpers, with headlights next.
