Er trägt eigene Scharniere, eigene Dichtungen und die Trennwand zum Verdeckkasten — mit dem Deckel eines G15 Coupé hat er nichts gemeinsam.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDas ist auch der Grund, warum diese Teile überhaupt in den Handel kommen: Auffahrschäden am Heck treffen beim Cabrio zuerst den Deckel und die Verdeckkastenabdeckung, während die teure Mechanik darunter oft unversehrt bleibt.
